Dokurcun - Çiğdem Plateau - Beşoluk Plateau - Dikmen Plateau
çiğdem Plateau, located in the Elmacık Mountains close to Hendek within the borders of Sakarya province, at an altitude of 1,400, is covered with crocuses (çiğdem) in spring and autumn, as its name suggests. After Hendek, you reach the çiğdem Plateau by following a winding road in the direction of Göksu and Kurtuluş Villages depending on which direction you turn. After the village, you reach it by passing under the big, very large hornbeam trees. You will encounter rhododendrons in many places on the plateau road. When the spring crocus blooms, it means that the villagers summer migration will start from Kurtuluş, the village you've just passed. This village lies on the northern slopes of the Elmacık Mountains. The local people have two names for the crocus which the plateau is named after. In spring, the flower is known as 'VARGEL' (come), when it blooms in spring, and 'çEKGİT'(go away) when it blooms in autumn. Crocuses serve here as de facto calendars. Our first tour passes through this beautiful and historical point and ends in Dikmen Plateau.
