Nation's Garden - Justinianus Bridge

It's a short and entirely urban route. A light ride and a route that finally arrives at the historic bridge at the exit of the city. In this tour, we take cyclists on a historical and cultural journey in the city. Throughout history, many bridges have been built, especially over the Sakarya river and çark Stream, in order to pass from İstanbul to Anatolia. The most well-known of these is the Bridge of Justinian, which is the end point of this tour. Built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian between 559-560 A.D. , this spectacular bridge has been recorded as one of the early Byzantine monuments. Also known as Beşköprü, this bridge is 365 meters long and 10 meters wide. The bridge, which consists of 12 arches, has a height of 10 meters. The Bridge of Justinian, located on the çark Stream, which empties the waters of Sapanca Lake into the Sakarya River, is known as one of the most magnificent monumental structures of the Early Byzantine Period in Anatolia. Finally, let's share a nice development for bike lovers. The structure, which was open to vehicle traffic until recently, was repaired by the General Directorate of Highways in 1995, and three steps were built at both ends and closed to vehicle traffic.
