With a length of 14 kilometers, an average depth of 150 meters, and a width of 200 meters, the Ihlara Valley is located in the Cappadocia Region, in the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray city.
The ancient name for the region was Phrygia, and it included all of today's Afyonkarahisar, Ankara, and Eskişehir cities, as well as a substantial portion of Kütahya, and the northern parts of Konya, Isparta, and Burdur.
The Sufi Trail is a long-distance hiking and biking trail from Istanbul to Konya. The length is 801 km, and it would take an average person 40 days to complete the Sufi Trail.
