Hendek - Kocaali

The track, which leaves from Hendek, includes many curves and slopes. In terms of traffic, it is a quiet route, very ideal for training. At the end of the sloped section, there are fountains. There are small markets, fountains and village cafes in the villages on the route. Our tour starts from Hendek, a small part of which is in the Black Sea Region, and a large part of it is in the Marmara Region. The city, which is located at the foot of the pine mountain at the northeast end of the Sakarya plain, has rich locations especially in terms of faith and highland tourism. çiğdem Plateau, Dikmen Plateau and Selman Dede Recreation Area fascinate people with their natural beauty, while the road, adorned on both sides with plane and acacia trees, promises a pleasant ride to bicycle lovers. In terms of religious tourism, the Legend and Tomb of Sheikh İzzettin İsmail, an Anatolian saint who lived in the 1300s, and the Tomb of Salman Dede, which is visited for the healing various diseases and prayers for rain, come to mind. On this route, where traffic lights and traffic are sparse, you can enjoy the freedom of cycling on the warm country roads. After the short climbs and gaining altitude in the first kilometres of the route, cyclists enjoy the downwards slope towards Kocaali, located on the Black Sea coast, in the north of Sakarya. You can end the day with rafting on Melen Stream and taste the delicious harvest of Sakarya's most prolific hazelnut producing district. You can even attend the hazelnut festival, where many events take place, if the time is right.
